    Messaging on TikTok

Messaging on TikTok is a fun and interactive way to connect with and grow your audience. You can share messages with your fans, like and comment on their messages, and send them gifts.

You’ll start receiving messages from your fans as soon as they follow you on TikTok. You’ll also see notifications in the app when someone sends you a message or comments on one of your posts.

To read a message, tap it from the home page or open it from the notification that appears at the top of the screen. You can reply directly from within this interface or click “Reply” at the bottom of the message to open up an external app for replying.

One of the challenges though with any in-app messaging, there can be times where the messaging function isn’t working (just look at our recent post on Instagram as an example). If you’re wondering “Why can’t I send messages on TikTok?” read on further to find out.

    How To Message on TikTok

How do you send messages on TikTok?

TikTok is a video-sharing app that allows users to share videos, music, and pictures. It also has a function that allows users to send messages to each other. Here’s how:

    1. Open the app and select your profile icon in the upper left corner of the screen.
    2. Tap the “Message” button in the lower right corner of the Profile page.
    3. Select a friend from your list of contacts or enter their username in the “To” field and then tap “Send.”

Why Can’t I Send Messages on TikTok?

Maybe you’ve had this problem: You log on to TikTok, and try to send a message, but all the options are grayed out. You can’t even see who’s online or who has recently commented on your story!

Don’t worry—you’re not alone. This is a common problem with TikTok right now, and we’ve got some ideas about how to fix it.

First of all, make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi or a strong cellular signal. If you’re using your data plan, that might be what’s causing the issue. Also check that your battery isn’t completely dead—it’s possible that if your phone isn’t charged enough, it won’t let you send messages at all.

If none of these solutions work for you, try turning off your phone and then turning it back on again. That might clear up any issues between TikTok servers and your phone. If not, try logging out of TikTok completely and logging back in again; this often fixes problems with sending messages or being able to see who’s online in the app or site.

You can send messages to friends who are using the app, but you’ll need to make sure that the person you’re trying to message is following you first.

If they aren’t following you yet, tap on their name in the chat window and select “Follow.” Once they have followed you back, you’ll be able to send them a message!

If they are already following you, but still can’t receive your messages, it may be because they have muted all notification alerts from other users. To check if this is the case:

    • Go to Settings > Notifications & Sounds.
    • Tap “Mute All” and then choose “No.”
